Healing with the Fairies Reading for Tuesday, January 19-Sunday, January 24

People in my circles have been dealing with a lot of grief, loss, depression, mental and physical health problems. I am feeling called to do a reading for healing. We have a full moon in Leo this weekend. As some of you know the full moon can heighten any feelings you're having, but there is also an opportunity to release and heal. This weekend is a great time to do some heart chakra meditations--to work on heart healing and to do something creative. It doesn't have to be anything fancy--you could even do some simple crafting or drawing with your kids, if you have them. A message I am getting right now is that a lot of us are doing or needing to do some inner child healing--to nurture and love our inner child. Being around children can help you get in touch with that part of you--if you feel you've lost it.

For Tuesday and Wednesday the card is Be Honest with Yourself. This is time to do some inner reflection. This card echoes what I was already sensing--you may be feeling stuck, depressed, angry, and/or anxious. These feelings can come up if we aren't being honest with ourselves. You might feel like you can't afford to be honest with yourself or that you don't have a choice in a particular matter. This card is just a gentle nudge for you to admit your true feelings to yourself. I know it's really cold where most of us live right now and it might not be a good time to get outside--if it's not, at least look out a window at the trees and the sky. Watch the clouds roll and sit in direct sunlight for at least 15 minutes. Close your eyes and allow the warmth of the sun to wash over you. Buy some flowers if you can and do a flower meditation. Even if you can't see or hear the fairies, send them your thoughts, your feelings, and your experiences. Ask them to help you get in touch with your deepest innermost feelings. The fairies can hold a mirror up to you so that you can see and admit your truth. Here's an affirmation: "It's safe for me to be honest with myself and with others. I speak my truth with love."

For Thursday and Friday the card is Inner Power. This is a perfect card and makes perfect sense after the first one--in being honest with yourself, you move into inner power. Allow yourself to experience and express your true power--this is not the power of the ego--this is true pure divinely inspired power. Your guides will bring you opportunities to use and expand your power in ways that bring blessings to you and everyone around you. Heaven needs the lightworkers of the world, including you, to realize and utilize their power. You are being asked to release any fears you might have surrounding your power. Also--have you given your power away? If so, especially for the women out there--it's time to take it back!! You have a right to feel a sense of high self-esteem and to honor yourself by taking very good care of your body, mind, and spirit. Keep working on your dreams and aspirations for what you want to manifest--spend time in prayer and meditation. Maybe continue with some of the suggestions that go along with the first card. The better you feel about yourself and your sense of self-worth, the more comfortable you will be with owning and utilizing your power for the greater good of all. Here's an affirmation: "It is safe for me to be powerful! I have all the power of the Universe flowing through me and supporting me!"

For Saturday and Sunday (the full moon) the card is Make Music. This also echoes the messages I was getting before I pulled cards--this weekend is a time to do something creative. Take time to sing, play a drum, or any other musical instrument--if you don't feel called to make music--turn on some music and feel it lift your soul to a higher level. You will be in a better mood and have a more positive outlook. The fairies play music at their celebrations because they know it is therapeutic. You are guided to surround yourself with music this weekend--maybe go and listen to some live music--dance around. Whatever music you're drawn to--it might be slow and relaxing, or quick and joyful. Take time to notice how it makes you feel--does your mood feel lifted? Do you have more energy? Make note of any songs you might hear repeatedly, either on the radio or in your mind. The lyrics, or the memories brought up by a song, could contain messages for you that will answer a specific question that might have been on your mind of late. Here's an affirmation: "Deep within my soul, I now accept and experience the healing power of music."

Water Reading for the week of January 11-17

January can always be a little emotional, so I am drawn to work with the energies of water for the reading for this week. Today and tomorrow the moon that is coming out of the New Moon energies is in Aquarius--so I feel like working with the Magical Mermaids and Dolphins Oracle Cards. 

For tonight and tomorrow: Morning Affirmations. If you don't already do affirmations, this is a good time to start doing it--it will help you all year long. Begin each day with positive intentions and affirmations. Before getting out of bed, take some deep breaths and take a few moments to think about your dreams and desires. What do you want today to look like? This week? Don't worry about how to manifest--just allow yourself to imagine that they have already been manifested. Make one or more positive affirmations connected to your desires. When you open your eyes, write down your affirmations and intentions (keep a journal and a pen near your bedside). During the day, you can revisit your affirmations and intentions--read them or say them out loud. In addition, since the days are still really short for most of us--take some time to sit in the morning light, and breath all of its' warmth and beauty in. 

For Wednesday and Thursday: Treasure Chest. The abundance continues and your prayers for financial support have been heard--assistance is going to arrive. It will come to you in unexpected ways. Stay in a state of gratitude and keep with your positive intentions and affirmations that the money and assistance is already manifested, even if there's no visible evidence of it yet. When you feel grateful before it comes, it reveals your faith, which is the energy that draws riches to you without delay. This may show up in the form of money, or it may come as a new opportunity, brilliant idea, or gifts from others. Bless and honor Heaven's gifts however they manifest for you. Your gratitude ensures continued, overflowing abundance in your life. Affirm: "Thank you for all of the support, supply, abundance, and money that you bring to me. I am grateful for these riches, which I use in Divine ways to bring blessings to the earth." 

The card for the weekend is: Accept Heaven's Help. You've asked what you should do next and this card is telling you to "Trust that your prayers have been heard and answered. Simply rest and retreat for now. After all, you prayed for Divine intervention, so step aside and let Heaven intervene, as this is the help you prayed for." Go into quiet contemplation this weekend--do some praying and meditation and ask Heaven to give you very clear, easily understandable guidance, letting you know if you need to take any action at this particular time. In the meantime, enjoy knowing that your angels and guides surround you and your situation with loving care. This time of year is a time of resting and retreating. Allow yourself to get some extra sleep, pamper yourself, spend some time alone. Mercury and Jupiter are Retrograde, so it's an even better time to do this. If you take any action this weekend, it will be reviewing, reorganizing, reassessing, and/ or reuniting with old friends or family members you haven't seen in a while. If you do gather with people this weekend, make sure you balance that time with time spent alone.

Reading for the New Moon and this Weekend--January 15-17

The first New Moon of the year is this Saturday. New Moons are great for intention setting, especially for the beginning of the year. This New Moon is a little different because Mercury is in Retrograde, which typically isn't good for intention setting. Even so, if you haven't set your intentions yet for the month and/or the year ahead--I encourage you to do so. I am co-hosting my first New Moon gathering this weekend and we will be burning our intentions. If you feel called, comment below your intention, and I will burn them and help you send them up on the eve of the New Moon.

I am using a new deck for this reading--it is the Silver Witchcraft Tarot deck by Barbara Moore. It is a beautiful deck--I hope you enjoy!

The first card is for tomorrow--Friday. It's The Seven of Swords. Swords represent air and air is the realm of the intellect. It's where we speak our truths, analyze situations, and make decisions. It's connected to justice, communication, and anything connected to the intellect--to reason. Fear and worry can live here because they are of the mind. It is a very powerful suit. This is a card of resistance--the wind will always blow, while it's possible to walk against the wind--is that the right course of action? Sometimes it's better to go with the wind. The world may be pushing you and you might be pulling in the opposite direction. Today, think about how you can go with the wind, rather than resist it.

For Saturday--the New Moon--I am pulling a card from the Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Deck by Colette Baron-Reid. This is such a timely card--it's Birth-Rebirth! From the Sacred Journey Markers-the message here is one of inspiration and new life. This is time for a new project, endeavor, career, relationship, or idea to form and be birthed into the world. This is the perfect time of year for this card--with birth and re-birth--there is always a little death. This is a time for transformation--anything that is old from the previous year or anything that has caused pain can transform into a new way. We are going through the process of birthing/re-birthing--and the time leading up to the birth can feel uncomfortable and may be painful. There will be a shift into your new life and beauty will arise out of surrender and release. You have come so far on your journey and are now in a place where you can celebrate your ideas, accomplishments, and all the new gifts that are coming into your life. Remember that when you are connected with the Divine, which is the true source of creativity and power--your dreams will become manifested.

For Sunday, I am returning to the Silver Witchcraft deck. The card is Two of Wands. Wands represent fire. Passion, action, creativity, risk-taking, and self-development are all connected to the element of fire/wands. This card represents the winter and the moment just before dawn. This card is also connected to the Winter Solstice/Yule--we are just coming out of this time of year. This time is still about quiet contemplation and holding onto faith. The sun rises each day--there's always a new day. There can be an energy of impatience here--that you might be eager to get started and there may be some frustration here. This card is a reminder that this is a time to wait, to be patient, and to trust in divine timing. This is just a pause--this is not a long wait. As soon as you see the first glimmer of light--you will intuitively know that it's time to start--you will be given a boost of energy to help you along your path. For now ponder your options and make plans--that way when you do take action--the pieces will come together and things will seemingly effortlessly manifest. This is the moment before the leap--the leap of faith and the leap of action. This card is very much connected to career--changes connected to career, new businesses and decision making that affects your career and potential new businesses or existing business.

New Year's Blessings: Integration

Happy New Year! It's 2016!! I am so excited for what's to come in the New Year! For one thing, I am returning to my tarot roots--and will be offering readings using more traditional tarot decks. Today, I am working with a new deck that incorporates Welsh Celtic mythology. It's the Llewellyn Tarot by Anna-Marie Ferguson. I have been so busy with family, friends, and holiday plans--so I am doing a simple one card reading. However, one card jumped out--so that card will be included. 

The card that I pulled was Ten of Swords. First, I want to say, that while I am using more traditional tarot cards, I will sometimes interpret messages in a way similar to the Angel cards. Swords represent air--the realm of the intellect. They also represent action that can be constructive or destructive; change; power; bravery; leadership; responsibility; ambition; conflict. This is where your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes live. My interpretation of this card for everyone is that if you have positive thinking, behaviors, attitudes, and actions--you will not experience the potential extreme shadow of this card, which can bring about a lot of loss, hurt, misfortune, and grief. The message I get for us is that this year is bringing about the major end of something in our lives. It's really going to be time for a lot of us to start a big new chapter of life. To take that leap of faith--as we know with change can come the bittersweet feelings of endings that are moving into new beginnings. The other message I am getting is that while we all know that it's important to know our shadow--it's very important to integrate our shadow with our light. While I was meditating before pulling a card--I saw a big spiral moving and twirling--a message of integration--the yin and the yang.

The card that "jumped" out is the Queen of Pentacles. Pentacles represents the earthly plane--it's connected to what we do to make a living, money, home, education, and health. The Queen of Pentacles brings abundance and prosperity. She brings security, generosity, grace, and opulence. This validates my vision of spiral integration. The image of the yin and the yang--that without the dark we can't know the light. It's the balance of these two energies that will bring about deep soulful happiness and success for us all in 2016.

Happy Hanukkah! Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Card Reading for December 7-13th

I have been very busy lately, but I am back with a powerful reading for next week. Today is the first night of Hanukkah--Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate it! I certainly do! Next Friday is the New Moon and we are only 15 days away from Winter Solstice. This is a powerful, but also stressful time of year. I'm going to try my best to do as many readings as possible this month. I apologize in advance if I don't do as much as I typically do. I also want to announce that I am branching out and using other decks outside of the Angel card family. It's something that I've been thinking about and meditating on for a while and after getting a few new oracle decks, my guides have given me the message to definitely do this. I will still primarily be using the angel cards, but now you have some options if you'd rather me read with a different deck. I will be getting a classic tarot deck in sometime this month, definitely by January. It is back ordered right now. Most of you don't know that I started learning traditional tarot over 15 years ago, and that is the base of my knowledge of tarot. For the beginning of next week: The Cat: Independence and Healthy Boundaries. This card is one of the animal guides of Avalon. Love with freedom--loosen up on attachment to "owning" what you desire. Too much attachment can lead to loss. The Cat is here to guide you to live freely and to remember that the adventure is always just beginning. The Cat gives you the power to do this. Remember the Cat has 9 lives and always lands on its feet no matter what. You will too--just like the cat--no matter how often you fall or how you fall--you will be unscathed just like the cat. You will emerge safe and sound. Live freely, love without unhealthy attachment, and remember that with the Cat as your companion, you may fully immerse yourself in life, for there will be many more lives to come. An additional meaning I am getting here too is that this is the time of year that we all are thinking about the things--all the material things we want. It's hard not to get caught up in the shopping frenzy that happens this time of year. We can easily get overwhelmed by all the catalogues, commercials, ads in social media, and advertisement emails. Take a break from all of this the beginning of this week. Maybe try to unplug in the evening after work. Spend time doing something that isn't focused on the things--watch a holiday movie, cook with your family, spend time in meditation and prayer.

The card for the middle of the week is Joy: a time for celebration! This is a Sacred Journey Marker card. It portends the joyous completion of a project, the attainment of a goal, or the end of a long and arduous journey. The message here is if you are thirsty--you will find ad well; if you're cold, a blanket; if you're hungry, nourishment. While this card has the aspect of celebrating blessings that you will receive, there is also the other aspect of Joy, which is about sharing Joy and bringing to other peoples lives. Joy celebrates itself--its very essence radiates beauty and well-being. Like the spring sun breaking through after a long and gloomy winter, joy reminds us to be grateful for all the gifts of life. It bestows the blessings of happiness. Another message I am getting with this card is one that is connected to the previous card--if you let go of "the things" at the beginning of the week--you will enter into deep, true, pure joy. Sit in gratitude--even if you're having a bad day--a daily gratitude practice does wonders--I've been doing one for over a month now. It helps to ground you and helps to keep your thoughts positive.

There are two cards for the weekend--one jumped out with the other. The first card is Protection--A Sacred Journey Marker card. This card comes right after Joy. It is a reminder for you to protect yourself and be wary of hidden agendas. People are drawn to the light--and you have a bright light. This is just a reminder to protect yourself against psychic/energetic attack. I know a lot of us are with our families and friends more than any other time of year this month--make sure you don't take on any negative or draining vampiric energies of those around you. Call upon your guides and angels to protect you against this. If you have protecting stones like obsidian, smoky quartz, black tourmaline, etc. this would be an especially good time to wear them. The second card that is for the weekend is the Serpent--an Animal Guide of Avalon card. There is a lot of potential for healing and knowledge this weekend. Whatever situation you find yourself in is meant for this purpose. Take time to read a book or take a class in order to gain more understanding of your inquiry. Seek counsel with someone who has knowledge in the area you need help in. The Serpent will help you and guide you to the right answer. You will be successful if you follow the Serpents' guidance. The Serpent also lets you know that you may be suffering because there are aspects of yourself that are wounded and still need tending. This weekend is a great time to do this work. Take time to rest, meditate, study, and allow the knowledge to come into your consciousness. Make sure you get plenty of sleep. Another lesson of the Serpent is that each time you experience a healing or learn new things, you may need to "shed your skin to adopt a new one." There's nothing to worry about here though, this is necessary and it is beautiful. This is the time of year that we do a lot of releasing work to welcome in the new year. While it is a new moon this weekend and a lot of the work we do around a new moon is centered around intentions--this is also a time to set an intention to shed something or integrate some knowledge or a part of yourself you may have lost, discovered, or re-discovered.

Fairy Tarot Reading for the Weekend (November 20-22nd)

I recently received the new Fairy Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine and will be using this deck for the reading. They are truly exquisite!

 

We are entering the holiday season--if you are like me, you may already have early Thanksgiving plans this weekend. The card for the weekend is so beautiful---it's a Major Arcana card--the most powerful in tarot. It's Unity. This is the time of year that we unite and reunite with our family and friends. This message of this card is also asking you to spend time with like-minded people who can help you deepen your spirituality and intuition and help you grow. This weekend you may want to take some time to join a class or gathering and surround yourself with people who feel the way you feel. There is a reminder here that you may want to release any "rules" that have been imposed upon you by your family and/or society--they may no longer serve your highest good. This is a duality card, though, you may also be called to employ more traditional methods. To determine what is right for you--discuss the old and the new possible approaches with people you really trust--they will help you figure out which route to take. Maybe it's time to seek out a mentor. Pay attention to what's going on with your goals--if you are experiencing resistance, you may need to change your approach. The Law of Attraction rewards you when you follow your dreams, while maintaining your integrity and being honest to the people around you. You also may be feeling called to be a teacher or mentor to someone who is new to developing their spiritual gifts. This is a great weekend to take some time to pray and give thanks. There is an energy of the elders connected to this card-we honor and respect them.

New Moon in Scorpio/Diwali--Indian Festival of Lights--Reading for November 9-15

The New Moon in Scorpio is this Wednesday, 11/11. This is a time of global awareness and connecting with your guides, angels, and with one another. The new moon coincides with Diwali--The Festival of Lights. This Indian festival celebrates the victory of good over evil. The biggest celebration is on the night of the new moon in honor of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity. 

 With the New Moon being in Scorpio, I have chosen the Magical Mermaids and Dolphins Oracle deck to do the reading for this week.

For the beginning of the week:

The card is Pay Attention. Pay attention to the messages the angels are sending you. Notice conversations you over-hear, words expressed by others, and your own inner thoughts and feelings. Look for common threads among the signs. We are leading up to the energies of the New Moon and the synchronicities that are coming. These messages are guidance to help you manifest your Divine purpose. If you hear or feel something more than 3 times, especially within a short amount of time, this is information you should pay close attention to. Use these signs to heal anything that doesn't serve your greatest good, and swim in the direction that your guidance points you. As my teacher and mentor Athena Perrakis of Sage Goddess says, "swim with the tide, rather than resist its pull."

The card for the New Moon--for the middle of the week is Synchronicity!! 11/11 is also a sign of synchronicity so we couldn't have a better card for the New Moon on 11/11. You've been praying for manifestation and you're now experiencing synchronicities. Heaven is calling your attention to the synchronicity and serendipity happening now. The more you notice these magical occurrences, the more they will happen. Write these experiences down in a journal to bring about more synchronicity. You know that there are no coincidental or accidental occurrences. This card reflects your positive thoughts--which are being directed towards what you want to manifest. Your optimism and faith reshape your life into an experience that reflects your higher self. Trust your inner divinely guided guidance. 

The card for the weekend is Blessed Change. With all this attention to intuition, messages from others, from your angels, and from synchronistic events, brings blessed change for the weekend. You've been through a lot--the rough seas are now clear and smooth. Wash away any negativity from your thoughts and let go of hurt from the past--keep only the positive lessons and love. Don't hang onto anything that could weigh you down, such as bitterness and resentment. Let it go! 

You've had negative thought patterns in the past--this is a time to affirm: "I now release the need to experience this life lesson. I extract whatever teachings I need to discover, and I move on to a life of harmonious and peaceful feelings, behaviors, and actions." This weekend brings about turning a corner in your life--your prayers and continued positive thoughts are bringing new rays of Divine light to illuminate your present and your future!
